Cookies

Because there is nothing to make you accept. DatingAppBoost sets no advertising cookie, no tracker, no analytics tool. No Google Analytics, no social network pixel, no tag manager, no heatmap.

Consent is only required for cookies that are not strictly necessary to the service you asked for (article 129 of the Belgian law of 13 June 2005, transposing the ePrivacy directive). The only cookies set here keep you signed in. They fall within that exception, and a consent banner would be useless at best and misleading at worst.

If an analytics tool were ever added, this page would change and a real consent banner — where refusing is as easy as accepting — would appear before anything is set.

Session cookies, set by our authentication provider Supabase on our own domain:

• Authentication cookies (names prefixed sb-, for example sb-<project>-auth-token) — they carry your session token and its refresh token. Without them you would be signed out on every page.
  Purpose: keeping you signed in. Nature: strictly necessary. Duration: the session token expires after one hour and renews itself as long as you stay active; signing out deletes them.

These cookies are set with SameSite=Lax, which already prevents a third-party site from making them fire without your knowledge, and the site refuses any write coming from another origin.

No cookie is set until you open a session: the home page and the legal pages can be read without a single cookie being written.

This is not a cookie, but honesty requires mentioning it here. If you choose your photos from the home page before having an account, they are kept in your own browser — local storage, key dab:pending-photos — for one hour at most, long enough for you to create your account and start the analysis. They are erased afterwards.

That data does not leave your device until the analysis is started, and no third party can read it. On a shared computer, finish or abandon the flow rather than leaving the tab open; clearing the site data deletes it immediately.

• Google — only if you click "Continue with Google". You are then redirected to Google, which applies its own cookies on its own domain. Using email sign-in avoids that step entirely.
• Stripe — only at the moment of payment, on pages hosted by Stripe. Stripe sets cookies there that are necessary for payment and fraud prevention. No payment page is embedded in our site: payment happens by redirection.

Outside those two flows, which you trigger yourself, no request is sent to a third-party domain from the pages of this site.

Your browser lets you inspect, block and delete cookies site by site. Blocking DatingAppBoost's cookies is possible: the consequence is simply that signing in becomes impossible, since that is their only function.

The privacy policy describes all the data processed and your rights over it.
